Best Possible Gift

Cooking a superb meal is the best possible gift that we can give friends and family.

As a child I taught myself to cook for that very reason. Growing up, I was invited away on vacations a lot, and I didn’t have a holiday house to reciprocate the generosity, so I taught myself to cook for my host family as a way of conveying my gratitude.

From the outset, I cooked with the goal of giving what I savored every time I took a bite of my Grandmother’s or Mum’s cooking, LOVE. I like to serve a meal prepared with love, in a setting created with equal passion. Good food in a good setting, equals an occasion.

I think we like our occasions the way we like our people — real. It’s not about impressing our company but creating an experience that inspires.

Inspired to experiment

Spending a lot of time in Asia as a child — and growing up with women who inherited recipes from their Mediterranean forbearers — I innately and unconsciously tend to marry Asian flavors into traditional European dishes.
